In our daily lives we are busy with other important things and therefore; You have little time to keep your online image continually updated.
Your online image is what you can find on the internet.
The more information you have online (positive or negative), the more that will be the digital footprint that you intentionally or unconsciously leave behind via social media.
Do you choose not to leave a digital footprint? Also fine, of course. But sometimes it can work for you.
Be online findable.
Your online image can work for you. It can be the acquaintance before the actual acquaintance.
So make sure you have a good story about yourself.
For example, on LinkedIn, with a complete profile, key features, and a chronological record of your education and/or work experience.
Be yourself.
If someone visits your website but finds no owner information, they may leave.
But leaving some details on your website can make your website complete and stand out then other ones.
On this blog, I share my name; I even got a profile picture and other information such as the publish date.
Ask for feedback.
You can ask for recommendations via a medium like LinkedIn or WordPress.
To contacts such as (former) colleagues, fellow students, or friends with the same interest.
Not only do people like to read reviews online about products or services, but they also want to know who they are dealing with when they go into business with someone.
And who can tell that better than the people who have experience with you!
Show your qualities.
Do you have specific expertise or an impressive portfolio that you would like to share?
Show this by means of a blog, for example. Or use LinkedIn or Facebook as a visual medium.

What makes your blog stand out from others? What does it take to be a better blogger?
Be consistent.
A common mistake is that bloggers forget to update their profile or are negligent in emphasizing certain characteristics, while search results on the internet prove the opposite. Be consistent.
Make sure a potential blogger finds a clear story about you. A nice and interesting blog with consistently good blog posts is an excellent addition to you as a person.
On social media, you may also show something personal about yourself.
Being a consistent blogger can transform your blog into a reliable source of information that readers love.
Prevent negativity.
Prevention is always better than cure. It does not have to be that serious, but be aware. Things you do online can have an offline effect.
Has an unpleasant search result appeared to you? Then you can submit a request to Google to delete it.
Incidentally, this only applies to consumers; for companies, removing negativity online is a lot more difficult.
