6 Writing styles that rock!

Written By Bonny Isselt.

Hi all bloggers

There are 6 main types of writing:

  1. Humanistic
  2. Explanation
  3. Detailed
  4. Persuasive
  5. Influential
  6. Storytelling

Each of these writing styles is used for a particular purpose. A singular text may carry more than one writing style.

1. Humanistic writing style

Humanistic writing is one of the most well-known types of writing.

When a blogger writes in a humanistic style, all they are trying to do is define a straightforward concept, including publishing knowledge of themselves to a wider public.

2. Explanation writing style

When a blogger writes in this style, they are creating a scene in words of a person, place, or thing for their audience.

The blogger can use metaphors or other literary methods in order to define the scene that can impress the audience.

I use design elements you can see on my → Welcome page. (Like my welcome page. Thanks!)

3. Detailed writing style

When a blogger writes in a detailed style, they give you lots of information about a topic. It’s usually a hurdle to understand whether the message is useful or not.

Detailed writing does not include the blogger’s opinions, but relies on trusted details of a topic, including statistics or other proof.

It’s a great way to inform others and be creative with data. So be creative with data, because you want to get to the point of your message.

4. Persuasive writing style

Persuasive writing is the principal style of writing you will use in downloadable content, interviews, reviews, or E-papers.

When a blogger writes in a persuasive style, they are trying to change the audience’s viewpoint.

Persuasive writing includes the blogger’s opinions and preferences, as well as justifications and ideas, that are given by the blogger as evidence of the accuracy of their profession.

Most bloggers use this style to introduce the benefits of their findings.

5. Influential writing style

Influential blogging is the ultimate style of writing you can use everywhere, anytime, and wherever.

When a blogger writes in this style, they are trying to influence the readers’ actions or motives.

Influential blogging suggests a realistic view that is given by the blogger.

Most bloggers use this style to sell the advantages of their viewpoints.

6. Storytelling writing style

Blogging with good conscience that aims straight to the understanding of your reader, this style must be completely friendly to the user.

In this style, you cannot make too many mistakes. So check your type errors also your links to ensure they are smooth and user-friendly, because you want to connect the reader to your story.

Although this style is difficult to learn, it creates a smooth-running blog post.

Conclusion

Knowing the different concepts can help you choose your writing style.

The best style is combining all the styles in one, which is best for your blog. (That’s what most bloggers and I do).

  1. I am a fan of the storytelling style and I do have to agree with you that it is the hardest style to write. I do it because I realize it is the style the readers connect with the easiest.
